Administration
Divine Mercy Snehalaya for senior citizens, Vannamadai is administered by Seva Missionary Sisters Of Mary, Chennai.The Management takes responsibility to look after the residence till his/ her death.

Eigibility
To be eligible for admission, a person should be 60 years old and above. The decision of the Administrative Committee shall be final and binding, no reason will be given for the refusal to admission.

Termination
The management reserves the right to terminate the stay of the residence without assigning any reason with 60 days of notice.

Medical examination
Every resident before the admission should be medically examined by any of the approved medical officer in a hospital and reports should be submitted to the management. He/ She should be free from any contagious, infectious or mental diseases. The Administrative Committee has their discretion to grant or refuse admission.

Payment
The residents have to pay promptly and regularly the charges, before the 5th of every month.

Resident contacts
Two close relatives of the resident will be required to sign a letter of undertaking in the prescribed format at the time of admission to the home. These relatives will be deemed notified persons and will be in communication with the Directress of Snehalaya at least once in every two months to enquire about the resident.

Personal Requirements
The resident has to meet all his/her personal needs, such as toiletries, clothes, woolen clothes, 3 pairs of bed sheets and pillow covers and also other personal requirements.

Food
All the residents will be served uniform food and no special food based on their personal likes or dislikes will be served, except on medical advice.

No drugs & alcohol
The residents are strictly prohibited to bring any forms of alcoholic drinks, drugs etc. and also cooking, washing clothes and utensils, smoking and consuming tobacco in the room.

Clean surrounding
The residents shall keep their room as well as the surrounding neat and clean.

No Disturbance to others
If any resident wants to watch TV, listen to their radio, he/she shall keep the volume low as well as within time limit so as not to disturb the others.

Visitors
Visitors will be permitted only during specific working hours by prior intimation and permission.

Executive committe
The Executive Committee reserves right to alter, modify, omit and amend the rules and regulations without the prior notice and the same will be final and binding to all the residents and notified persons.

Go out of the home
The residents are required to inform and take prior permission from the management, if they desire to go out of the Home, also they are required inform on their return, which should not be later than 7pm. No resident can stay away from the Home except with the prior permission of the management. The residents will have to deposit the key of the room to the management before leaving the Home, even if for a short duration. No refund of the monthly charge will be made. Residents desiring to out of the Home or stay away from the Home, shall do so at their own risk. They are to give the address of their destination.

Valuable things
No valuable of the residents shall be under the responsibility of the management or the institution.

No outisde contracts
Residents are forbidden entering into any contract, agreement with government or private officials or institute of any kind.

No responsibilities to personal debts
The management is not responsible for any liabilities, loans, obligations or duties, incurred by the residents at any time to any person or institution.

Personal will
The personal Will, if any by the residents is to be submitted to the Management.

Maintain peaceful atmosphere
The residents are expected to be kind and respectful towards Sisters and the employees. Giving gifts or money to the employees is strictly prohibited without the knowledge of the Directress.

Hospital Expenses
Incase of illness, the Management on the advice of the doctor may admit him/her to the hospital and the cost will be met by the resident or by their nominated relative. The institute will not bear any expenses. The management will inform the nominees of the residents at the earliest and nominees thereafter will look after and care of the resident.

Death of resident
In case of the death of the Resident, if after 24 hours of information to the nominees, the management receives no respond, it has the freedom to dispose the body according to the understanding.

Monthly Charges
The monthly charges are liable to change time to time

Security deposit
The security deposit will not be refundable after one year. In case of the death or discontinuing his/her stay before completing one year, 50%of the security deposit will be refunded.

Legal Affairs
The management is not responsible for any legal affairs of the residents.

eXTRA CHARGES
Personal requirements, including medicines, diapers, toiletries etc., will be arranged on additional payments & special nursing care will be charged extra.
